Another big early game. Never been a fan of games going head to head with NFL Sundays but at least there's no Bears game...and this hasn't been the greatest NFL season anyway. Digressing...

Build off of last night. Find that success driving and moving the ball. And PROTECT THE DAMN THING. Still turning it over way too much. Find a way to win, that would be super.

In past years this would be a solid 6K+ crowd with some noise. Won't be that many there unfortunately, but whatever. Hopefully the fellas give the crowd a reason to get into it.

On Sunday, Murray State looks to go 2 - 0 in the conference with a game at Illinois State, 3-4 and 0-1 in the MVC. Illinois State lost to UIC (unknown score) in their Valley opener.

Gobirds nailed it. We need to start developing consistency and start stringing good games together. Already we could toot the coulda-woulda-shoulda horn and be more like 5-2/6-1 right now if not for being unable to stack good games back to back. But that's a sign of a new team experiencing some stumbling blocks. It happens. This is a great opportunity to start building some momentum and maybe, just maybe, get RA out of stasis.

Tough opponent. Valley games always are. But these are the games we need to win at home.

Instead of watching football, I had a seance ouija board party last night. We contacted Mary Tyler Moore and she said it would be a Murray slaughter.

Birds down by 8 at halftime, come back to boat race the Racers for a 75-69 win. Murray stays in town to drink its sorrows away at the Cellar because they can’t go back to their god-forsaken dry county to drown their sorrows in a cider-infused rage at the pumpkin patch.

either nobody knew anything about teams going into the season or anybody can beat anybody in Valley night in/out. Birds need to take care of the ball and make freethrows, finally have some size again to make staying around the basket/crashing the board pay off In MVC. Lets go Redbirds!

I thought going into this year protecting home court was vital to success. Now that the Birds have won a road game in conference, and UNI and Bradley have dropped one at home it’s even more important to have this one.
