I would love to know what the concession take was to a normal game. As in would it be better to let prices and get a higher take at the concessions
The W is what matters most, of course. But of sizeable secondary importance are the facts that we didn't come out flat and take the air out of the building. We played well, it was an entertaining, competitive basketball game, and the crowd was into it from the start. There was some legit good noise in the building and, I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it myself, the students were actually standing and into the game. It wasn't a crypt in there for a change. These are very good things.

hoping we do not have subtraction by addition when Burford returns. He will get his points but overall team and results may suffer. TEAM play has been noticeable better the past few games.
He better be paying attention to what is currently working!!

This is my concern as well. Ball moves a lot better with him out. Hope we can find a good balance.
Well, the way the concession stands are run - they are limited on the amount of revenue and product. Young people who do not even act like they want to be there - very slow at taking orders and get out product. Need a Ram Rod to get things moving and put a fire under a few butts.

Burford off the bench would make the most sense. Mal is playing so much better with Johnny in the lineup. And Johnny in the lineup has limited Banks just dribbling around killing any ball movement. Whatever Pedon decides it needs to have Johnny and Mal starting because those two actual move the ball and are threats from 3.
Averaging 24.5 points, 4 boards, 4 assists and 2 turns in the last 2 games. Idk. Is that good? You tell me.
Should sweep the awards this week, without researching other players.
This squad looks so different when the ball goes through the net. If the Mal of the last two games is the one we get the rest of his career, bringing him back is a priority.

Seemed like JK and MF never came out. Just checked and they logged 36 mins each with Mal and KL with 34. That won’t work in STL but if Burford and Davis can get healthy, I think we may be okay. Walker could have easily played more mins if MF needed more breaks or got in foul trouble. Luke logged some good mins tonight too. I think Banks will see his mins decrease the most when Burford is back.

Wasn’t able to watch the whole game. Saw about the final 10, but the on possession that really stuck out is when they had the ball flying around the perimeter and ended up in Johnny’s hands for an open 3.

Mal was on fire!!! I am so excited for him personally as well as the team collectively because he has displayed such good character during this challenging season for him but he makes such a difference when he shoots the way we all know he can. So, shout out and love and support for number 1.
I didn’t realize this but during the broadcast of the Indiana State game they said that Mal was the most efficient offensive player retuning for the entire MVC for this season. I think we all realized he was the best pure shooter retuning for the Redbirds which raised our expectations for him and his impact on this team. Sometimes life doesn’t go the way you expect and you have to struggle and grind through. Mal has done this and has put together some solid games down the stretch.
If this team starts hitting their threes consistently, enough to keep the defenses honest, then couple that with a solid defense and a strong inside game then this improves the key dynamics of this team that are necessary for them to be competitive. The MVC is good this year especially after dipping the past few - currently ranked 9th for NET.
Nice W with HOF-bound Mr Collins in attendance. Of course, just being positive on the voting outcome for him.
