Gotta give them credit they have really turned it around in conference. I know they had to get used to playing together, but you wonder how they can look this good and look so bad in non conference

Their recent opponents are not very good teams, but the wins still count. We have several big, strong kids—have yet to see that killer instinct that is a necessary part of a winning team.

Generally I agree, but Shadawald has the killer instinct and I think it is contagious. Hope anyway…

They grinded it out for Coach Matters 100th win. Bradley I think have lost 4 straight 5 setters.

As a wise man often tells me “a win is a win.” With a realistic shot at the #2 seed and a huge tourney advantage, every match besides vs UNI is a must-win to keep pace. I agree with normalbird that our competition is not what we will see from UNI/Drake; however, UIC beat Drake earlier in the year, so you can’t just expect to win and it happens.

The Braves are now 0-9 in conference but have played their last 4 opponents to 5 sets. Before that, they lost 19 sets in a row, Considering their short bench (16 on roster, had 10 dressed), they seem to be improving.

Yes, Shadewald wasn’t freeballing last night. Some of our other big fronts hit too many marshmallows. #7 almost beheaded a couple of gargoyles. More of that.

This was a good win. It’s the effort and production you expect of a top-3 team. Going 5 sets at home to a winless team like BU and then bouncing back like this shows the ability to kick it up to another level.

We are showing that we can battle Drake for that #2 spot. Do we have another level to rise up and compete with UNI? We’ll see a lot here soon up in Iowa.

Credit to the marketing folks who have put in a lot this week with the Balling on Beaufort event followed by two home matches.

Another 🧹!!! Nine straight wins. Next weekend they travel to Iowa and we will see just how much they have improved, but there is little doubt they have turned around from a dismal start, and that is a great thing to see!👍🏻🕺

It is a great thing to see! So happy for all involved, especially Allie.
