This is a pretty big loss for the volleyball team. Regan was MVC All-Frosh team and probably the best athlete on the team. Leaves one experienced middle, Hannah Reichensberger, who is recovering from an ACL…

Gets her a little closer to home. Still have time for a transfer to fill her spot.

I have no idea if there was a financial incentive to make this move, but I would venture a P4 school’s collective is much more likely to pony up some money to attract a needed recruit than we would have to retain someone.

What I can tell you is that Mizzou (coached by former ISU asst Dawn Sullivan) played in the NCAA tournament, won a match in that tournament, and currently has better prospects for next season. Haith considered the results of her first two seasons, weighed her future prospects, and chose to move on. Like CUBird said, we have time to bring someone else in. The ball is in our staff’s hands to move forward and get the best players and start winning.

I feel like the VB portal has really hurt us. Maybe I'm wrong, just the impression I have.
On balance, no question we’ve lost more than we’ve gained. Hope we can find a good middle. It was a good move for Regan getting closer to home and stepping up to the SEC. Last year we got three one year grad transfers, and that is not a strategy that should be repeated.

The SEC is a perennial Champion - Kentucky, Florida and now Texas - who would not want to play in that conference. Plus earn more money and be closer at home. The fing portal blows - until we move our football up to FBS (anywhere) then we're going to be a minor league program ripe for the pickin
