Good article on transfers and their impact. Deontae with high praise but no love for Mikyle.

That's what he gets for fouling a guy already running out of bounds

Low blow, Hulka.

They don't even have MM scoring 5ppg this year? If he stays healthy, he'll be a strong contributor for the Rubber Duckies. As far as him leaving, I'm over it. Good luck MiKyle.

"We count 128 players with D-I experience joining these 115 squads this year. While some of these guys put up jaw-dropping scoring numbers at their former schools, others could well struggle to fit into different environments. We suspect that select players—like Dylan Smith (UNC Asheville to Arizona), Dwayne Sutton (UNC Asheville to Louisville), MiKyle McIntosh (Illinois State to Oregon), Ben Carter (UNLV to Michigan State) and Duane Wilson (Marquette to Texas A&M)—will shoulder smaller scoring loads, and it’s possible we’re overrating the impact other players will make. Still, the list of quality faces in new places is long. Here are the 100 we think will score the most on a per-game basis:"

MiKyle is mentioned prominently in the 1st paragraph of the article.

Just somewhere to put this, but Illinois totally screwed that kid from Simeon today. Brought him down for an official visit, offered him a scholarship, the yanked the rug out from under him on the day he was committing because another recruit's mommy and daddy didn't want him on the team with their little darling.

Everyone got to pull back the screen and see exactly who Brad Underwood is today.

The kid broke down during his announcement ceremony.

So much wrong with this. Blame lies solely with MIF. Underwood was told Ayo or THT. I’m taking the 5 star that’s already committed every time. It’s the price of recruiting Chicago at a high level. Happens at all the big schools.

Yeah, you totally bring the kid down for an official visit last weekend and roll out the red carpet if you intend to jerk the offer 4 days later. Who's daddy will tell underwood who he's allowed to recruit next time?

Nothing but class from illinois. Underwood has a good chance of going down anyway when his Okie St assistant from last season rolls over on him. This helps focus the spotlight.

:text-+1: There have been rumors for a long time that those 2 wouldn’t play together. Underwood thought he could change their mind and failed. Screwed over and embarrassed a 16 year old in the process. If they don’t get every single player they want from the Fire now I’m not sure it was worth it.

With Horton-Tucker and Griffin playing the same position...wonder who will transfer down the road?

“After careful consideration and discussions with my family, I have asked for my release from the University of Iowa. I would like to finish my athletic and academic goals closer to home. I would like to thank coach McCaffery and my teammates for their understanding and support with this decision.”

He’s been at how many schools in how many years???

I think you are thinking of somebody else. He had to change schools in high school due to his family moving, and didn't want to. Essentially the exact opposite of what you are trying to imply.

I remembered the issue in high school but didn’t remember it being move related. I thought he went somewhere before Iowa too. Old man disease, bad memory.

Would love to see Christian at ISU. Be nice to have two point guards with size that could play at the same time. Excellent defender that needs to find his shot again. Prolific high scorer. At worst, and Tony Wills type pickup, but I think the ceiling is much higher. Keep getting backcourt size ... it's a mismatch problem for most MVC opponents.
