Sy suffered a torn ACL Sunday against Evansville. A frustrating game ending with one of the Birds top players season coming to an end.

Best wishes to Sy on a speedy recovery. He’ll be missed in the lineup.

I feel really bad for him. He was having an awesome year. I hope he heals quickly and is able to get back at it.

Sy, hurry back and get healthy. You were having a great year so rehab and get ready to have a monster year next season.

Awful news. I have an awful lot of respect for Sy's effort any attitude this season. Proud to have you as a Redbird... get well, young man.

I hope Sy is able to make a full recovery and return to form next season. Feel really bad for the kid. This year was by far his best year of college basketball and he even has gotten some mentions across the league as a candidate for most improved player. I am interested to see if Andrews is able to develop as a result. We already know what we are getting with Ndiaye for the most part. Nice to have depth at the 5 spot this year.

Just terrible news for him ... such major improvement in so many areas it seems. I wish him well in a full recovery and a return to continued growth. He will be missed the rest of the year.

Damn shame, especially if, as many of us suspect, Sy "got his mind right" during the offseason and his improvement is as much attitude as "skill". Hope he can work hard and come back for another go at it.

I'm calling for more Sissoko. He's somewhat the forgotten man - people are looking to Schmitt and Andrews and Abdou to pick up the slack. I say Sissoko can be pretty damn effective if they can convince him to forget the 3 and get his fanny down in the paint and get to work. Not that we don't need the other three to step up, I should say STEP UP!

I agree, whenever sissoko has come in it seems he gives good minutes and does give some offense. Would like to see more minutes.

Speedy recovery, Sy. You will be sorely missed.

Love that message from Sy. He is a heck of a talent and is primed to make some good money playing this game.

Good luck to him. He was a bright talent on this team. I don’t see how he can be replaced.
