I don’t like Pearl and think he’s a phony. However, when you look at that region. You have UNC that systematically cheated academically for years. Calapari with 2 vacated final fours, and Sampson that had a show cause. Hard to pick a school without issues there.

I always love the Illini hate of Pearl because he called them out for cheating. I saw Bob Knight speak (I’m not a huge Knight fan), but he claims Illinois was the dirtiest school in the Big Ten when he was coaching.

I look past the moral flaws and like teams that play exciting up tempo basketball. That’s why I hope Virginia gets beat today and loved seeing Michigan go down.

Was one of the most exciting games in the tourney to me. Even with it being a blowout, Auburn's offense is fun to watch. UNC was going fast too, but couldnt put the ball in the hoop. If you thought Auburn was not fun to watch, then I assume you prefer the virginia style. That is no fun to me

A lot of people watch games thru the prism of hate. He dislikes Bruce Pearl, so the Auburn victory produced an ugly style of basketball. I had pool interest in UNC winning, but didn’t jade my opinion of what was an exciting game to view, and excellent execution by Auburn.

Sorry for not being clear. I was referring to UNC. They were all athletes and their offense was 1 pass and then one on one. Auburn was shooting lights out. They didn't have the athletes UNC had so they had to play basketball. Also I still don't like Bruce Pearl.

Weird that the fire Muller crowd immediately goes into attack mode about how not liking someone jades their opinion. Hmmmm. I wonder if that applies too their view of ISU. Hmm nah

That’s been the Tarheel game plan this year. Insanely up tempo. When on, it looks devastating. But eventually, they came up against equal athleticism, and then it can just look careless. I’m wasn’t that surprised that they flamed out early. Trying to play with too much pace eventually lead to mistakes. Auburn capitalized, and UNC found themselves in a whole they couldn’t get out of.

Didn't used to like Pearl at all and I'd relish the times when crowds would roast him...but honestly, over time I've come to enjoy him a little bit. He teaches a damn good entertaining brand of basketball and whoever he's coaching is typically a tough out this time of year.
He’s a man of the people. I enjoy his antics.

I’m at the point where cheating would be ok.

Seemed amped up another notch with this team. Maybe this personnel was a better fit for what he wants to do. The pace seemed more frenetic. Seemef every offensive possession was a fast break. Got tired just watching their games.

Here's an article showing personnel makeup of each final four team. Texas Tech sure looks like a midmajor type of build (or Iowa State).

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/26411800/how-2019-final-four-teams-were-built

Texas Tech Red Raiders:
ESPN 100 HS recruits: None
Transfers: Matt Mooney (South Dakota graduate), Tariq Owens (St. John's graduate), Brandone Francis (Florida), Deshawn Corprew (South Plains JC)
Others: Jarrett Culver (three-star), Davide Moretti (not ranked), Norense Odiase (not ranked), Kyler Edwards (four-star)
