Read spring practice report #3, and it says Megginson has run with the first team OL for recent practices. Will be fun to see how that all plays out. OL could end up s strength this year?

Lyons said he would prefer to keep the color scheme under wraps for now, but admitted red would obviously be involved.
"We've changed it a little bit," said Lyons. "We're pretty pleased with what we've got scheduled on that."
The Redbird head at midfield will continue to face away from the home side.
"TV is still going to shoot from the west into the new stands," Lyons said.

I was very glad to see clips of OC Beathard working with the QBs this Spring. I really believe he will get the most out of the Redbird offense. I am having a hard time expressing how pleased I am that OC Beathard is once again at the helm of the ISU offense. I would say it is a good time to consider making reservations for Frisco TX. :dance:fourthandshort said:And my confidence that OC Beathard will figure out how to build his system around his personnel, and for me, that means Kolbe will finally get a chance to show what he can do. Certainly, the combination of OC Beathard, RB group, OL group, and a little more talent (unproven) at WR group .. all will allow Kolbe to grow in confidence and show how well he can manage an offense and throw the ball all over the field ... knowing our run game will keep pass defenses honest.
So far this spring ... I'm feeling a little more sure that our offense will be near the top of MVFC and FCS this year. Quite a reversal of fortunes from a year ago when defense had to carry the offense some games. Grind it out, move the chains, chew up the clock .. demoralize opposing defenses, keep our defense fresh while they figure things out.

holograms ?? ......... that's even better than my idea to put Reggie logo on a swiveling turf platform, and rotate it each quarter while student section chants (and maybe gestures) encouragement to the groundskeeper to "FLIP THE BIRD" .. which was a pretty damn good idea .. if you ask me.
Sgt Hulka .. you've outdone yourself again !! Holograms .. no one gets hurt ... or offended.

Hologram Reggie would still flip a nice bird. Maybe even shoot a moon for night games
