So . . . a little research into the availability of players still in the portal, plus some added info on juco and HS recruits . . . this is as of 4/24/2021 at 1:25PM CST.

1. 1454 names are still in the D1 portal. This list includes names of players who've committed to another program, but does not count anyone who has removed their names (like Chatman).
2. 635 players have committed. (43.7%)
3. 819 players are still available. (56.3%)
4. By position, here are the players available:
   1. 62 are centers / 16 of those are 3+ star players.
   2. 163 are PF / 20 of those are 3+ star players.
   3. 231 are PG / 34 of those are 3+ star players.
   4. 114 are SF / 21 of those are 3+ star players.
   5. 249 are SG / 33 of those are 3+ star players.
5. Overall by class:
   1. Frosh = 132
   2. RS Frosh = 45
   3. Soph = 125
   4. RS Soph = 67
   5. Junior = 142
   6. RS Junior = 99
   7. Senior = 135
   8. RS Senior = 74

Jucos and HS:

Approximately 925+ players are listed by Verbal Commits as still available (keep in mind VC doesn’t list them all, most, but not all). The reason I say approximately is because filtering on VC is weird and I don’t always get the same results when I apply multiple filters. Also, juco players who are qualifiers, only played one year at a juco, but are available aren’t picked up by any filters. Additionally, some players who entered the transfer portal LAST year, but went juco instead weren’t always picked up by VC. Here are the approximate numbers:

   5. 39 SG
