Spencer Schnell has a good debut for the Bucs against Pittsburgh. 7 receptions for 119 yards and the longest was 30 yards. Nice start for the former Redbird. I wish the Bucs were the Hard Knocks team this year instead of a couple of years ago. It would have been fun to watch this training camp. I am rooting for him to nake the team. He is one of those guys that does not have the size and gets overlooked but he just makes plays. Great start!

Great start for him .. they must like him a lot to target him that much in the first preseason game.

Way to go Spencer !!

Yes he does and that intangible (the most valuable, imo) just might get him slotted somewhere down the road.

Spencer is getting some nice exposure in the Tampa area. I am not a fan of NFL pre-season but I will be watching the replays of the Bucs pre-season games on NFL Network just to follow his progress.

Putting aside injuries ... I imagine most teams know 90% of their starters, at least 60% of their 2nd string, and even close to 90% of their entire roster from day one of camp. But there are 4 to 8 spots up for grabs usually. The real value of preseason games is figuring out those bubble players ... bubble in terms of your starters and in terms of the bottom of roster. It is made for guys like Schnell ... undrafted free agent who just need a real chance and longer look.

I originally thought he got bulk of his catches in 1st half .. apparently bulk were in Q4. You can bet he will get earlier look in game 2.

Good for Spencer .. he was a guy I initially underestimated too. Always liked him but was pleasantly surprised each year as he became our go to receiver.
