Not real familiar with this ref, but this story is killing me. Not taking sides, just enjoy the spectacle of it all. Odd that the University itself is getting involved with the t-shirts.

There is acually a list of situations over the past 20 years where he has made critical errors, and in some, even assessed poorly-called technicals in situations where the errors were pointed out to him. L

Beyond that, he is no longer allowed to ref ACC games after making racist comments to a spectator. I'm surprised with his history that other conferences allow him to call games considering it doesn't appear he has taken any remediation efforts to address his conduct, both from making glaring officiating errors and also from his personal rhetoric.

Good officials don't show up as main subjects of new articles. Refs like Kipp Kissinger, Tom O'Neill, and Karl Hess certainly don't avoid controversy.
