I read something where the SIU incoming fall freshman class is projected to possibly be less than a 1,000 students... for comparison I believe ISU 2017 fall incoming freshman class was around 3300. If that is the case it will also dramatically impact the athletic department as SIU athletics, like ISU and other MVC team's athletics, are heavily subsidized by student fees. When it rains it pours.

Redbirdwarrior said:Related: President Dietz went in front of the state education board the other day and politely asked where the hell our money is. ISU is getting about 55 cents to every dollar all other state institutions get per student (including U of I, which is about half out of state/international students). What is amazing is that ISU is still one of two financially stable Universities in the state even with this.

In total, the state has deferred up to FIVE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS worth of ISU owed tax dollars to other projects over the last couple decades. $500,000,000.

There's a new soft ware program called Cialis that might help getting a board going. I do hear that they can only get a board going for less than 4 hours though, then it goes down most times.
