Sy looked good. Sissoko looked good. Strong is great. Our guards are good. Get more of an inside game and We'll be alright. Here's my transfer guess. Boyd will grad transfer after the season. He was the man at eku and came here to be the man but hasn't transpired. He'll go elsewhere.

I had no idea Strong would be this good when we signed him. He seems to be the player I thought Copeland would be. Fleming will probably be the player we all thought Clarance would be.

I see AN matched his career high with 7 points, with 3-3 from the field. Just a matter of time before he really picks it up scoring wise.

It was interesting to hear the coach say he thought DJ could be ISU's best guard ever. He also said he's pretty sure we'll have a game this Weds, but nothing has been signed yet. Hopefully one Saturday as well.

Based on comparative early scores, that is a nice win for us. You win in the MVC with guards and we have a nice trio of them. I hope we can stay healthy and play some games this week. I love the fact that we scored 82 points. ISU teams of the recent past have had a hard time scoring. 67 was not that bad either because we did it in 33 minutes.

I didn't listen to the game so just going by the stats ...

Positives
Horne with 5 steals
Only 8 turnovers for the team
Our guards appear to be able to make free throws
Chatman made the floor and appeared to perform well
Sissoko 10 rebounds ...nice
Strong 2 games and only one turnover

Opportunities
Limit the fouls still had 23 in a win
Looks like we scored 10 points in 11 minutes ... the dry spells were killers last year. This is where an inside presence helps when the outside shooting colls off
Noel scores 35 points against us. Is it just me or does it seem ever since the Jack era we have some player just goes off on us way too often.

For those that watched/listened to the game, did we play zone at all or was it strictly man to man?

Was there any mention who the potential opponent(s) would be next week? I think Benson mention perhaps a D2 team earlier this week.

Nice to get a win. Too early to tell but with San Francisco beating Virginia and UMass Lowell beating San Francisco, perhaps they may be a better opponent than we gave them credit prior to the game going to Ohio.

Horne’s 5 steals is pretty darn good. Stats guru @cpacmel told me that the school record for a game is 7 and Paris Lee had 6 steals in a game 4 times in his career. He could be a really good defensive player.

If Dan really said Horne could be the best guard isu has ever had, he is truly delusional.

He really did say that. It was kind of an eye opener for me, mostly because I never thought he was delusional. I think Horne is good, but I would assume the coach has a better take on what he can be. You have to admit Horne was pretty poised for a freshman.

You're probably right. One of the best...my memory can kind of distort things.

UMASS Lowell gave Ohio State all they could handle. The Birds were very close to two de facto wins over top 25 teams this weekend.
