Who is the Redbirds defensive coordinator? It is embarrassing that they have no basic understanding of defensive fundamentals. They definitely spend a lot of extra energy which could explain their lack of ability on offensive end. They play way off the ball when defending away from the ball and then sprint towards the ball after the pass. This puts the defender completely out of position and the offensive player can easily take advantage by a simple fake or drawing a foul. You’ll notice NIowa runs around way less on defense but is in a much better position to play defense as they don’t play so far off their away-from-the-ball guy. ISU looks much faster than NIowa but most of their sprinting back and forth on defense is completely wasted. Just my observation.

Hey, we wore cool uniforms!! Even though we disgraced every player that wore Illinois State on their jersey before. We aren’t winning any time soon.

These guys better win, had a reason to be in Indiana today, and foolishly put my hard earned money on the Redbirds to win and it to go over. So I know they will lose and it will be low scoring, so I'm thinking maybe a Panthers 71 Redbirds 66.
