I think Drake will get a little wiggle room; unfortunately, they may have spent all of it on that game. Losses to anyone else other than LU, in this day and age, will not be good.
If they need to split next week and both make the championship game I think MBC has a good chance. It will beinterestinh what the impact on their Net ranking after one bad loss.

I think to get back into the top 25, they'd need to take both from LU now, then keep winning the rest of the season, and lose in the final of the conference tourney. They got the benefit of the doubt because they were undefeated. But now the voters will see a number other than zero and know they don't have to vote for them anymore.

Bailout call calling foul on Dusan. That pass wasn't in the same zip code of Prim.

Horne, Strong, and Reeves were a combined 15-46 from the field (32.6%). Only 9 TOs = good. Forced only 6 TOs = bad.

First time I can remember not watching two seconds of a Redbird game. Not worth the time or energy. Suggestions to our HC when he checks his bank account and confirms he is, once again, paid for his stellar coaching job, the School Street Food Pantry helps ISU students struggling with food insecurity. It’s a great place to make a donation and do some good on campus. Muller is just ripping us off at this point and it would be nice to see that $$$ go to a worthy cause.

Thank you Larry Lyons as the shit show rolls on.

This is Redbird basketball.

ISU game threads are 2 pages long and 1 of those 2 pages are about Drake and Loyola.

Still no defense
Still no toughness
Still no identity

Average talent. you have to ask yourself....is the ISU job still even a good job?

Moser and Wardle have the recruiting advantage now. Mullins getting his fair share too. Whoever eventually takes over the program will have a tough time competing.

And with ISU stuck with Muller until 2024 you are probably look at a minimum 2026 before ISU can compete again.

we’ll be talking about 30 yr drought before you know it.

Weren’t you jumping on posters who were calling for Muller’s job? Now you are starting posts on replacements for him. Why would this one game change your opinion on what other posters have been seeing and calling out the past 3 years?

It wasn’t one game. It was getting swept by Valpo then MSU. It’s 1 Valley win. It’s the same mistakes for 3 years now.

Can you be specific please, who's soft, who doesn't play defense? I'd really like to know who/what you think the issue is on this team. I see 4 REAL players that DM need to build around, we NEED BIGS that can finish and have a physical presence down low. Our guards are the team in my opinion. I recall last year folks were on here saying ALL KINDS of lies about Horne/Reeves transferring, only to get dispelled as mere rumors. I see fight in these kids and I can not wait for this group to prove the naysayers wrong!! So, would you rather our good ones leave now? Saving themselves from a fan base that over criticizing them and QUICK to pass judgment! You say... "average talent"! WOW, just wow. Who is average? Please name names.

The guards just stand around up top...rarely cutting or moving. A blind person could guard them. As for defense...it’s hard to tell who can guard on this team when you are constantly playing a zone. That tells me Dan thinks his guards can’t defend. Most coaches play zone because they don’t have size, guards have 0 foot speed, lack of roster depth, or low basketball IQ.

Again, I firmly believe everyone should be able to voice their opinion, I asked earlier, please be "Specific" as I'm trying to identify who/where are the issues within the team's functions. I hear guys just stand around, slow feet, and the list goes on and on... Just because one or two kids "can" truly play locked down defense isn't the same they can't be solid as a whole unit on the defensive side of the ball, IF all buy in to the cause! Case in point, our leading scorer currently 5th in Valley is also our teams leading defensive steals guy as well. Just trying figure our how folks are analyzing Redbird basketball and individuals contributions. Can you help me out Birdfriend72?
