Have to get hem a lot of credit for how hard and how well they played. Really a shame they couldn’t get rewarded with a win. Interesting to see if they play like that the rest of the way. Evansville murdering Valpo, those were bad losses

I think Drake got the birds best effort tonight. I don't think Drake played bad I think the birds played up. Tough no-call at the end but entertaining game.

Really great effort by the guys. Of course, some sloppy play at times lead to Drake points, but they were right there. Horne got fouled by Penn on that last shot but 0% of Officials would call that in that scenario.

Muller had the guys ready. He said in the pregame that he’s going to make Drake beat them by shooting 3s and it seems his team followed the game plan which gave the Birds a shot. Drake was 4-30 from 3. They’re game is to take it inside. Nice mix of zone and man.

Reeves took over in the second half. I believe he scored 14 straight at one point?

Really could’ve used more from Duce when Broadie was out in OT. But man, this game was right there for the taking.

There is no reason the starting line up for the rest of the year shouldn’t be Fleming, Horne, Reeves, Washington, and Duce.

Washington had a very nice game that really reminded me of Tony Wills. He was a glue guy today for sure.

Short memories, guys. Lace em back up in 25.5 hours. Really fun game. Came up short but showed improvement.

If Muller had the team prepared and giving effort like that every game there would be zero calling for his job. I’m hoping him seeing the backlash and feeling the need to go on Twitter woke him up.

ISU was a pretty fun team to watch today. It looks like our guys were much more comfortable playing at a faster pace, especially when there is not excessive subbing. They played together well.

As far as who start, I could care less. That is very overrated. However finish with the guys that are playing together the best. Dan did that tonight. (I liked seeing Boyd cheering and coaching his teammates, even though he was not in the game.

Drake hadnt played in a while I believe - they were tight - working through the motions. Tomorrows game wil be telling. Unfortunately I'm guessing we'll revert back to the normal ways. Sorry but no faith in Dan anymore

Yeah drake hasn't played since Tuesday and Wednesday. Not sure how they came out as prepared as they did with that kind of break. Don't let your dislike for Dan get in the way of facts.

One other thing I forgot to mention. This was the first college game for most of the team playing in front of an actual crowd. I believe Drake had 1100 there. One would’ve assumed the Birds would come out tight and nervous but it wasn’t the case. They seemed to feed off of it at times.

I agree with that line up from here on out. And the officials clearly said “Drake will win”

Great effort today. When they were down 13, they didn't fold and kept digging. Drake has played better and the Birds almost caught them on a day off.

Did I hear this correctly...we are in the bottom 5 in the country from the line?

Shoulda won. Missed layups to end each session. plus the misses throughout the game. They came out at the right effort level on D. 8 steals is probably a season high, or right up there

There is definitely a physical difference between Drake's guards and the Redbird players. Without the off-season working with the strength coach these guys went from being skinny freshman to skinny sophomores. That Brodie it's just a big man. Hopefully he wears down tomorrow with playing back-to-back days and gets in foul trouble playing with tired legs.
