I swear. No team gets more moving screens than us in this ultra heavy ball screen offense

Took Drake a while, but they've got us figured out now. Dogs 22 - Birds 21, DU with 'and 1' after the timeout.

Missing way to many layups and open jump shots. Would have liked to have seen a timeout earlier.

Move the motion to the wing, Drake has stopped the high pick and roll. The offense has stalled.

We've no answer for Brodie now. DU up 30-25 with 3:45 left.

We had a good start, good energy, good D . . . now DU is controlling the game and score.

We did some good things early. Problem is Drake is a legitimately really good team. We are legitimately a bad team.

Decent half. Drake has more weapons. If we finish at the bucket we probably are ahead. We only shot 7 threes and made 4

Actually impressed with that half. Our kids are holding their own right now. Washington staying to get more comfortable. The core of Horne, Reeves, Fleming and Washington are the future of this team. It looks like it could be bright if these guys keep improving which they have been.
Washington had some nice drives to the hole

Anyone else catch that 4/5 drake starters are 23+ years old? Lord have mercy, we’re playing a whole bunch of 19 and 20 year olds

Down 38-32 at half. To this point, I like the energy on both ends. We're still making some bad mistakes (bod shots, bad passes, bad ball handling) that are costing us. A dominant big man is killing us, no surprise there. Mahorcic started well, but dropped off when Brodie started really playing.

We need to take more advantage when one of our guys has the advantage. Washington can take it to the rim on most of the guys DU could put on him. Reeves can get to the lane anytime he wants, but he has GOT to take better shots in the lane. He's better from 12-17 feet than he is from 5-8 feet. It's mental, purely mental. Horne has to get his head back in the game.
