Now that the roster is almost finalized. 12 scholarships spoken for and we’ll see if the last one is used.

G - Sandage
G - Burford
G/F - Knight
F - McChesney
F - Lewis

I have zero confidence in this. Kasubke, Poindexter will absolutely push for solid minutes if neither cracks that starting lineup. I have no clue with the forwards. Hard for me to imagine McChesney or Lewis doesn’t start. Then who knows how Schmitt, Petrakis, Andrews, Kotov, and Sissoko fit without a firm grasp on the offense.

I will say in looking at this roster I feel much more optimistic than I expected. Is this good enough to contend? Maybe not. This looks like a better collection of talent than we’ve had the past few years.

Still far too early to draw even semi-solid conclusions, but I like the direction in which things are moving. Pedon seems to actually have a plan in mind and is putting in place the framework he wants. If the players he currently has at his disposal are "bought in," then the program will already be ahead of where it has been the past few years, whether or not they seriously contend for a top tier regular-season conference finish. Give the roster time to gel, and they might be at least a legitimate dark horse candidate come conference tournament time.

I’d go:

Kasabuke - G
Burford - G
Knight - F
McChesney - F
Lewis - F

Poindexter - G
Sandage - G
Schmitt - C
Petrakis - F
Sissoko - F
Kotov - F
Andrews F

I will contradict myself, but altho it's way to early to speculate on a starting lineup, I believe Petrakis the senior with only one year left to play will at least start in most games. May not end up with all the PT depending on matchups, but I don't think he's here to be a bench player. Likewise Sandage. and Knight.

But it's too early to speculate!! ;)

My way too early prediction is

1- Burford
2- Sandage
3- Knight
4- Lewis
5- Petrakis

Bench
Poindexter
Kasubke
McChesney
Schmitt

I thought McChesney and Schmitt played really well together off the bench last year when they were in at the same time. This was hard because all of these guys are very versatile where I feel any of the nine could start at any given time depending on the matchups. Looking forward to seeing how this team is used.

Were I to guess, I would say this is probably the starting lineup. Probably Sandage running point, but Buford being the secondary ball handler.
