John Reed has passed away. I don't think he needs the "one of the most passionate" Redbird Football Fans qualifier. He was The Premier and Most Passionate fan of all. It was real challenge to go to any Redbird Football home game, away game or any football related event and not see him.

He was a friend to many players and their families and many others. It's a great loss for Redbird Football.

Just got word ISU is allowing a Memorial Tailgate in his honor this Saturday from noon to 3pm .. I assume on lot just north of stadium where you could always find him serving up his Reggie Wedgies and scouting reports .. plus his Sack Attack board where he kept track of each players sacks. Food will be served, but no alcohol can be served apparently since there is no game.

They should seriously consider stenciling his name on tailgate spot or something.
