Paul hit 2 homers vs the Cubs and almost had 1 in all 3 games. Nice Series!

Below is a short podcast of Paul with ESPN's Buster Olney from this past Sunday

Yesterday was Paul's 24th Birthday. He was 0-5 with 4 strikeouts and named NL Rookie of the Month for July.

Great news that he was NL Rookie of the Month! He sure has had a meteoric rise seeing it was just two years ago he was drafted and we were watching him play live in Peoria. Paul has qualified himself for an MLB pension already, but the big thing for him will be sticking around long enough to get his first MLB contract after some rookie contract years and arbitration. That is in the stratosphere of financial security for life the way those things are guaranteed. Paul definitely has the talent to be a special player for the Cards.

Here's hoping there are many years we can see Paul and Brock play each other!

Do you suppose that Aledmys Diaz has stopped watching Cardinals' games?

DeJong is 3/4 with his 18th HR so far today. (8/13)

Cards are down 5-3 in the 8th

He was the only one able to hit the Knuckleballer R.A. Dickey with any success.

Paul considered, at the moment, to be top 5 for NL Rookie of the Year! Apparently he has been batting in the 3 spot in a playoff contending team for the last few weeks and clearly has been successful. Expect him to be a big name next year.

Paul hit his 21st the other night, and is still sporting an .866 OPS in September. Its good to see he isn't fading away.

Here's hoping for a good end of the season and that we get to see a full season next year with Paul as the starting SS for the Cards. If he can bat .260 or above and provide 25-30 HRs, he will have quite a long career ahead of him.
