Ole Miss Pregame Event - Redbird Rally

Making sure I'm at the game early to get a ticket to win a bobblehead is what kept me from signing up along with having passes to the Redbird Room. I knew if we went to the event we would end up socializing and wouldn't get to the arena as early as I would want. Alumni Engagement does a great job with the events. I think this one had everything falling on the wrong side of getting people there. I hadn't thought about holiday gatherings but my guess is that it does play a factor. Everyone is busy this time of year with shopping, get togethers, kid's holiday functions and so much more. I know when they've done one in January Horton is usually packed.

Love the hyperbole..... that's it quinn! Bury your head in the sand. Ignore all the signs of failing leadership. What could possibly go wrong with that approach? Good Lord, even the guy who runs the Redbird fan site is apathetic towards the dept.

Why not start up your own fan site then? Quit bitching about the problems you perceive and actually do something about it for a change. You've been riding coat tails long enough. Step up or...

You think they intentially left off first 1000 fans?

Nope, a few years ago I got to a football game bright and early so I could get my Brock Spack bobblehead...but all I got was some stupid coupon. The last guy to arrive in our group got a bobblehead. It's caused tension between us ever since.

I guess you have to arrive early just to get a lotto ticket....

I read there are 5,000 of the tickets to be given out at the door. 1 of every 5 will be a winner.

I ended up buying a Spack bobblehead from a kid that was carrying 2 of them around as we did not win one with any of our 4 tickets. It's the luck of the draw and I have no problem with that.

Ok. Then I’m going to start deleting posts that says the admin doesn’t do enough. They schedule a whole event and no one signs up.

Yeah, that's it. There is ever greater apathy around this athletic dept and you want to blame the customer base. That's the spirit... keep rearranging the deck chairs while the ship sinks. SMH You people HAVE TO start admitting there is a problem with the leadership at this university.

And you HAVE to admit that the two things are not mutually exclusive.

Hopefully a post morten is performed as optics of having to cancel is not good.

Honestly, considering the lack of interest, I doubt the optics will be noticed by more than a few people.
