What I think is curious is about r posting members who hold this info like it’s treasured info; I mean it’s on social media and nobody wants to put their big boy pants on and say, “X guy visited campus” and b Proud he came to campus this past weekend. We treat this like it’s Deep Throat from Watergate days……. I’m sure Insider info is protecting a “source” of sharing. My goodness, this is silly, it’s ISU basketball…….. 9th place Birds looking to add a big who can help and b relevant.
We always act like we r special with such trivial drips of info. 9th place Birds!!
For this kid's sake, I hope he is REALLY good if he signs. The "hush, hush" just makes the expectations higher. A 6'8" 230 lbs F transfer averaging 3 ppg and 2 rpg would be deflating at this point.

Lol...just saw the name. I'll stand by my previous post. Just update the measurements and stats.

What information do you really share? You claim you don't want to ruin your sources by saying names, so then what is the point of posting visits with no name associated? I think a few want to feel real important and tease scoops to be needed. I agree it isn't that hard to follow things on social media but Adrian "Birdgrad2011" Wojnarowski please tease more visits with very little info associated!!!
I wasn’t the one that teased a visit 🙄

Someone posted about the visit. I found out through social media. I wasn’t going to post names with the original teaser not wanting to out his source.

He averaged 12.5 & 6.6 this season. Does that help?

I don’t know why a visit is so super secret. Makes me think the source shouldn’t be sharing if they were that worried.

Regardless, those are numbers I could get behind if they are able to land Foster. They’ve signed some solid guys, but all are potential or just looking to get their chance. We will see how it all shakes out.

Foster is a guy who has proven results at the D1 level. Plus it would solidify depth across the board. I’m hopeful.

When you look at the current state of the roster, depth at the 4 jumps out, at least to me. Foster would appear to be capable of filling that void and provide more physicality in the paint. Solid numbers and does his work 10-15 feet in. Hope they get him.

This would appear to be a good addition

2 years eligibility
Great offensive rebounding stats - 2.8 ppg in 22-23 (hard to teach that)
It would appear to give us an inside offensive presence (he has shot 4 3pt in his career)
Get some depth in the front line to bang with other teams vs getting pushed around

Hope we get him

How would that be “outing the source”, if you didn’t find out from that source or the person who the source let in on the scoop?

If I tell someone something in confidence, and someone else finds out in a completely unrelated way, do I have the right to be upset with the person I shared it with?

Only if you’re on a fan board . . . 😉

Interesting read in today's Pantagraph about adding the 13th scholarship. Pedon is always front and center about maintaining relationships within the framework of the team; this is a dilemma and I'm pretty sure from season to season you'll never be 100% on whether to keep adding yet subtract from Team Chemistry.
Would Myles help us move up in the standings - pretty sure YES. Will his addition cut down other guys minutes, have a negative impact on Frosh or even reduce the minutes of Kendall who graciously has stayed with the program. This young man may be everything we always hoped H would be when he came to Normal and why would H want to stick around other than being a great young man and total Team guy.

For those who say it's all about the W's and getting respect in the MVC- fine, I get that. Pedon's gotta win for sure but at the expense of chemistry and headaches with a torn locker room?? This is Management at it's toughest friends.

My Question is what would you do? Personally, I'd add but only after speaking candidly with each impacted player and the Team as a Whole. Get the buy in up front and the reasons the Team support the Add. And, if I rec'd some heartfelt concern from body of team, I'd then pass on an ADD. I know the article states that Pedon says it would have to be a Perfect scenario to add at this point so knowing him, he's already done his communication within the ranks.

The more talent the better as long as the talent fits within the culture. The more talent you have the better it makes everyone via tougher practices and the competition for playing time. Kendall’s going to play a lot no matter what he’s probably our best player, but with more depth we can actually keep him fresher which can lead to more consistent results game by game I’d say

The age-old question. Are you here to play or are you here to win? Are you willing to sacrifice for the good of the team? We vs. me.
As an old man coach, I bring him in. But that culture has changed.

Coaches get kids to campus for a visit. When you get a kid to campus it's not about the coaches anymore. It's about the kids who are already there. Do I really want to play with these guys? Do they really want me here? That's a big part of what it comes down to.

I see the player most affected by a player of this caliber as Sissoko and then Walker. Lewis will still get his time.
We generally go into a season thinking we have too many good players for the minutes. About a month into the season, we find out we need more depth/talent. Pedon likes to substitute much more than I often think he should. If has some talent, the level of play will not be affected as much.
GET HIM!
