Interesting coach said that rebuilding a program takes time.

Yeah I was thinking about that too, especially since theoretically one of the perks of the portal is to rebuild more quickly. It's got some duality to it. Perhaps he's referring to the younger guys taking time to get acclimated even though they're slated to contribute right away.

Mostly though, I think he's downplaying it to manage expectations. He certainly seems more excited about this year and this roster, so if he's just playing it close to the vest and not being all gung ho about it until we get some games under our belt, that's cool.
