It's interesting that his playing went down each year at SIU, having said that, welcome Dalton.

Pedon said he wants a PG and looking for Tough/Smart/Skilled.
I trust this is r guy to fill the spot r leader was looking for.
2 year guy who was 2 yr All-Stater from Wisconsin.

That gets us the driving PG that Coach was looking for. Now we just need the wing and a big. Hoping wing we get is Seneca size and hope that's the size we are recruiting.

Curious - none of us can look at his stat sheet and tell how he fits the Pedon puzzle of r roster.

I know SIU was abysmal on offense and Banks really wasn’t given a chance to be successful. Their entire offense was sit and around wait for Domask to cook or Jones to hit a bail out shot.

Appears to be a practice player but best of luck to him, and congratulations for moving up from Carbondale Community College.

Well, in theory you'd like to see some more impressive numbers. But if you look at SIU stats, they had 3 guys play lots of minutes - Domask, Lance Jones and X Johnson - right around 30 mpg or more, and Newton with 22 mpg, then 5 guys all right around 15 mpg, including Banks. He played in every game. Steady part of a 9 man rotation, altho if you look at box scores his PT fell off the last 5-6 games. They averaged around 50 shots per game, and Jones and Domask accounted for about half of those. So, 25 shots or so remaining to be divided by 7 other guys. Not much chance there to make your mark.

I think Pedon sees something there in terms of playing D, running the offense, getting to the rack. Gonna assume outside shot making comes from Kasubke, Poindexter, and Burford and Pence and/or another portal guy. I think he's more than depth, altho depending on Kinziger's progress, not necessarily "the main man" all year long. He'll help.

Glass at least half full of Kool-Aid! ;)

I'm pleased with DB signing on. Great opportunity for Dalton to refresh his career, provide stable leadership to a team who's still searching and mentoring to incoming Freshman. He's gonna get minutes and his family is much closer to see him play in person.

Hoping he's an improvement to our perimeter D.

He better get with our FT doctor. If I'm reading that stat sheet correct, a tick under 30%. I wouldn't put the ball in his hands at all, and wouldn't be on the floor for the last 10 min of the game.
