Wow, just wow. I lost it when i saw this dunk live. I cannot think of an ISU player dunking like that ever. MM threw some good ones down but usually oops and not on someone.

Why don’t we see Madison use his athleticism and jumping ability more on the offensive end? A lot of untapped potential there.

Rickie Johnson had at least 5 of them including one over Benoit Benjamin that is, imo, the best dunk in isu history...

Dunk was amazing. T was worth it.

Madison is starting to remind me of Tekele Cotton from WSU a few years back. Defense first guy who is uber athletic and makes highlight reel plays to pump up the team.

The T was totally worth it. Almost made it better that everyone could boo the refs after. I think I've watched that dunk 100 times today.

I agree, the whole stadium got together on this one. It had the added bonus of quieting the valpo fans behind the bench. I've also watched it a dozen times. I've also been reading all the comments from the sportcenter and sportsnation shares of the dunl on fb. For the most part pretty cool to see a couple of thousand folks get behind it

Hope Madison uses this as a springboard to great things. Don't want this to define his career and become his Will Ranson moment in ISU history. Plenty more MVC opponents to poster-ize.

I remember last year at Bradley, he came in at the end during garbage time. He was coming down the court and took off on a Jordan type dunk attempt. I remember thinking, no way can he be doing what I think he was trying to do. But he came up an inch short and the ball stuck on the rim. Would have been a similar type of dunk as the Valpo one. Just goes to show the difference between a Freshman and a Sophomore.

Way to go MW! It was worth the technical. Sure fired up the team & fans.

Hand in hand with what I said in a earlier post. You want to increase butts in the seats, give the fans what they want...more dunks.
Hell, it worked for FGCU.

Hi folks, sorry to dig up a few days old topic. :p Heard that my photo made the rounds on here, so I wanted to stop by, make my first post and say thanks! Big ups to coach Mullins for tweeting it out to get it a lil more exposure. Was and still am a big fan of his brother Bryan when he played at SIU in the late 2000s. (Yes I'm a Salukis alum and fan, but I can dig the 'Birds unless the two teams play each other! Haha... I have family up this way that have been lifelong fans so I guess that's where I get my approval from of them)

Been a blast so far attending games since I moved here last April and am trying to get better at my "craft" - by any means I am no professional. Thanks again.

Thank you for catching that photo. As a Redbird fan I will remember that picture for a long time. The picture happens to be on my desktop, thank you again.

I ordered your photo off the Pantagraph site. It should be arriving soon. I plan on displaying it proudly in my office. Thanks for capturing that moment. BTW.... Go Birds!!

That's rich of blonophotog to come onto Redbirdfan and claim he's a bird admirer except when ISU plays SIU. He's on the SIU fan board all the time ripping on ISU and calling the program garbage...a hot mess. Always find it odd when posters think no one checks up on how they present themselves on other forums.

Thanks for the photo, but hope your precious Salukis go into absolute freefall in the next few games. :eek:bscene-moneypiss: Here's to seeing the Birds get some payback for the L down in Cabrondump.

And GO YOU REDBIRDS!! :character-jaws:

Alright I have been out of line with the trash talk over at that place. ;-) alcohol may have been involved ...

Low key, SIU’s winning streak has not been fun for me and a handful of other fans because it means our AD/uni has confidence in Barry for another season. I’ve never been a fan of his hiring and can’t stand his schtick in post-game pressers.

May the best team win Thursday ...
