So hearing the resurrected DePaul vs ISU series is back on. Will be a good series
First year or two DePaul can play whoever they want and his job is safe. Get towards years 3-4 if things aren’t progressing, and they’ll schedule more strategically.Still at a P5/6 school. Why would he play us and take the chance of his own protege beating him? Plus, the point was that people were looking at DePaul's history, not the coach's history. Who'd he play at Butler? That's probably closer to what he'd do now, though still probably less lenient.
Another young talent with a lot of potentially leaving the Valley

I'll take the LQuinn shuts down the other Fostet thread and moments later Foster is in the portal ... hmmm?
One thing worth note regarding portal craziness. In theory, after the '24-'25 season, the portal should be a little less crazy as next season should be the final one for COVID years of eligibility. After that, the rule is one free transfer without sitting out, unless you're a grad or your coach gets canned/takes another job. I'm not saying it won't be a factor, because clearly it is here to stay, but you should be seeing less dudes on their third school in as many years. Should also be less grad transfers as well because redshirting doesn't really appear to be a thing anymore.Fewer and fewer commits saying “100% committed” theses days.
Yet didn’t Beggs say—in her interview with WGLT—that days of transfers having to sit out are probably gone? As a member of some NCAA board, she may have some internal scoop . . .One thing worth note regarding portal craziness. A little less crazy? … as of now and for the foreseeable future that are no limitations on transfers and all the money is still there. I would be surprised if next year’s portal is any different baring some legislative impact or ncaa rule change that is approved by the courts. One thing worth note regarding portal craziness.
