Lucas Williamson is out for a prolonged period of time, according to a beat guy on Twitter. Tough loss for Loyola as he leads their defensive efforts. Tough break for LUC, could be a huge plus for us come Saturday.

Williamson, though a big piece of their team, is not their whole team. It would be much more serious if they lost Krutwig, Custer, or Townes. They have shown this season, the SIU game specifically, they can win without Lucas.

If you haven't heard, Drake's Nick Norton is out for the season with an ACL injury. He's applying to get a 6th year. You never know with the NCAA but Hawkins was granted a 6th year at BC but chose not to use it. Norton seemed to use the grad transfer rule for the reason it was intended unlike Hawkins. I hope the NCAA does the right thing. I don't think we've seen the last of Norton.

Norton's application for a 6th year was denied. His college career is over.
Unless you’re going to go back and give every other athlete between the max pct for a hardship and where Norton was well above the max, the NCAA can’t grant it. ISU had an athlete just over the cap and hurt right at the start of the next contest. NCAA: no dice. There are a lot of athletes before Norton getting a 6th year I’d advocate for.
I wonder how many times the NCAA told Drake they weren’t going to approve this before they officially denied it.
