MSSU - Missouri Southern State U. I began keeping one eye on this program when former Redbird HC Denver Johnson took over the Lions. MSSU parted company with Coach Johnson last year during a 1-10 season. Look for a rather dramatic turnaround in a short amount of time. I'm really impressed by the new coach they brought in from a Jr. college. He may not be here long. He's worked his ass off recruiting. He brought in some guys from the JC program he coached but he's brought in other transfers and retained some key players from last season. They've got a new SS named Malachi Broadnax. Not sure where he came from but I've heard he's long and super athletic.
