I agree with Virginia. We give a new QB a short honeymoon. After that we want a QB as good or better than what the other team has. With the exception of non-scholly FCS Butler we haven't had that in a long time. WIU in the spring? Jefferson had much better protection than Connor Sampson.

Waring had some throws he would like back but he showed some real touch on the ball. We're seeing more from him at an early stage of his career.
I think you're right about this. The coaches will go with Jefferson for Homecoming. It wouldn't be the first time I've disagreed with the coaching staff regarding the QB position.
TR .. you think Spack will go back to Jefferson for Homecoming against NDSU ?? ... which is 2 weeks from now with bye week.

Spack has given surprising amount of leash to Waring ... granted his 2nd year in program, but game-wise is a true/pandemic FR. I think he will stay with Waring, possibly platoon just to mix things up for opponent and keep Jefferson involved physically and mentally.

I hope he stays with Waring. I don't like the dual QB situations. Jefferson had his chance, it is Waring's turn now. What aspect of Jeffersons game gives us a better chance? I can't think of anything from what he has shown on the field. Honestly a move to WR or DB would be smart in my opinion.

I do hope he stays with Waring. I just wouldn't mind seeing Jefferson a couple series' each game. One to keep him ready and two, to give opponents something extra to game plan for. I'm NOT saying Spack should do this .. I just wouldn't mind it if he did.

Just let me know if he asks for my opinion or permission on this one.

Well, I know I'm in a very small minority, but I've never understood why you are supposed to have one and only one QB and stick with him all game, every game. Michael Jordan came out of the every game and sat a while. No one has a problem with rotating RB's or LB's or anyone else. Jose Abreu sits every now and then and Eloy Jimenez gets taken out for a defensive replacement almost every game. Giolito only pitches every 4 or 5 days. Run the other guy out there for a series here or there, or even a play here or there - Jefferson could do some wildcat type plays, even fake the wildcat and throw a pass. What's the harm?? Like Fourthand short says, keep him ready and let him do what he can do.

Wild cat is also a very good idea. I meant platoon .. but yes, lets mix it up there as well. Many teams do this to us.

Kinda like Darrell Lamonica and George Blanda without the wildcat. Hey if the hand isn't hot find one that is.
