Hey Redbird fans! In January 2018, my son's best friend, Sawyer, was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma at the age of 4. Sawyer turned 5 last week and has been a trooper in battling cancer. He just finished his second round of stem cell replacement and will be undergoing radiation soon. His family is absolutely wonderful and we love Sawyer.
This May, my family and I will be joining Team Super Sawyer for the Move for Kids event at Lurie Children's Hospital. The 5K walk is one of Lurie's biggest fundraisers and has hundreds of walkers/runners. I know that money is tight for everyone, but if you are looking for somewhere other than ISU to make a charitable donation this spring, I hope you will consider the Move for Kids event and Lurie Children's Hospital. Below is the link for our team and a picture of my son and Sawyer.
