Just win.
Just win is right!!! Two of the most disappointing early season games I remember experiencing which set an awful tone for the season were:

The loss to Oakland, MI (Tarise Bryson’s layup waved off). I was there and RA went silent in disbelief!

And last year’s loss to Western Illinois

This team has talent and will take a little time to gel, but let’s get off on the right foot with a W! Let’s bring the excitement back to ISU. It’s been way too long…..

Lots of leaves to rake, but who rakes leaves 2 hours after sunset? Might be hard to explain the attendance tonight. Rest assured, crazzy will get to the bottom of it!

Seems very strange to me, this is only be announced the day of the first game. Since it occurred this Summer - this had to have been known for some time.
Mizzou just announced they have a guy who is missing the first 3 games because he played in the Portsmouth invitational. I don’t know the details with this but seems like nothing. If we started against a legit opponent I’d be more concerned.

Big opportunity for Foster and Pence tonight.

The official rip-off for season two of the Ryan Pedon era.

I do not think the score will necessarily be as close as the prediction below, but this is also the type of game that (somewhat) "allows" the opportunity for those occupying the farther seats of the bench getting some measurable playing time. I am also relatively confident that many different rotations will be trotted out in order to get their effectiveness prior to the step-up in competition at the Billikens on Saturday and not all will be effective.

Redbirds 76, Gray Wolves 68
Well if it’s going to be a rip off I might need find something else to do.

So what are the chances espn+ works well tonight on the first game of season?
About the same as crazymark not making another snide comment.

The main thing that stood out to me was seemed to be good hustle to and winning the 50/50 loose balls. Like to see that.

Also it’s not pronounced KinZINGer, right? Or have I been wrong this whole time?

First half takes:

Burford seems to have the quickest first step and ability to create. IMO, we're going to need big minutes from him, especially at the end of the shot clock.

Offense already looks more cohesive and experienced than last year. Defense needs to learn to work together, but decent enough in a game like this.

Lieb is a strong addition. 'd like to see him camp down low instead of drift out.

Davis and Banks' experience shows. Malachi is going to have less pressure on and off the ball w these two on the roster.

I want to see Chase!
