What I’ll say for Lindenwood is that it is one of the most beautiful campuses I’ve seen and there stadium blows away Eastern or Westerns. I’ll bet they do well going forward
No st louis. Step on up, lindenwood

strong start .. fumble of course hurts. Then Lindenwood rips their first good play of day. All in all, strong start for first time since opener.

I used to live in the Lou suburbs as well and I will say that ”the hood” has come a long way from where they were. They have an aggressive vision along with ultra endowments as you mentioned where they are trying to grow their branding and educational reach.

They work with local businesses to procure interest in graduate degrees and continuous learning. Some of their adjunct business professors were highly successful business types that brought an experienced pedigree to their MBA programs. They are also trying to grow their men‘s basketball and football programs. Their enrollment is about 7,000 compared to BU at 5,500.

At any rate I am expecting the Redbirds to come out with a W on this one especially after the horrendous showing last week. As long as Spack being Spack dutifully registers on the credit rather than the debit side of his strategic machinations then this should be a good day for Redbird football.
Non Redbird fan, but neutral. Lindenwood ‘s Harlan Hunter Stadium was the former summer camp home of the NFL Cardinals from 1976-81 and the Rams in 2000 and 2010. The men’s hockey program was a blue blood at the ACHA level and moved to D1 last year. Taylor Swift’s grandmother graduated from there and when it was a female only university.

I was really pleased with the second half performance. Loved seeing Josh Robinson and a bunch of other youngsters get an opportunity to show what they can do.

Bye week comes at a perfect time. Time to get healthy and prepare for the Bunnies.

I think I've said this before but Tye is going to be a really good player. I hope Wenkers is alright. We need everyone we can get vs SDSU. Our defense is going to face a huge test in trying to keep us in the game.

I have long maintained that attendance at Redbird Football games can only be understood and predicted by examining the social/promotional aspects. The won/loss record of the Redbirds, the quality of the opponent, playoff implications - all of those things have very little to do with attendance.

That theory will be put to the test over the next three games.

Tomorrow - We face Lindenwood, a school that some of fans have never heard of, and we are taking the field after a disappointing loss where the offense failed to excite. Attendance will be excellent. It's Family Day. Parents and family will come and the stands will be mostly full.

Oct 7 - South Dakota St. comes to town. This is a game for football fans. SDSU is the defending FCS National Champion, and it is expected that they will arrive here undefeated and ranked #1. The Redbirds will likely come in at 3-1 and we have a history of playing well against the Jacks. Attendance will be spotty.

Oct 14 - The Battle of ISU's. Indiana St. will be here. INSU is currently 0-3 and it would be a shock if they arrived at better than 1-4. No matter. It's Homecoming and the game will filled at close to capacity with festivities galore.

Welcome to Redbird football Festival.
This is one of the things that frustrates me the most.

The fact that there are multiple gameday posts about EIU on an ISU football message board says everything you need to know about state of Redbird football.

It tells you that EIU had an astounding comeback as they scored 24 straight points in a come from behind victory. The Redbirds had less drama as the 'Birds pulled away for an easy 31 pt win. Sorry to disappoint you. You, Redbird and TBS_20 will have to chill on the fire the coach narrative for a couple of weeks. Zack & Co. were just too good. The game was also a 13,391-fan sellout.

Life comes at you quick. If they beat San Diego State...sorry, the shittier SDSU (stop, we've all done it) then I will be singing a different tune next week. For at least a couple weeks
