Rico, how is it possible to impeach Lyons and Dietz as they are done serving the University? Is it even possible to impeach a basketball coach?

I’m glad they are both gone. Everyone should be that supports ISU athletics.

It is however possible to fire a basketball coach. I’m sure their will be overwhelming grief and immense sadness for those on here that enjoy losing when Dan is let go. Lots of memories of mediocrity and failure to reminisce about.

Hopefully, the new AD has higher standards for success than RBF.

I agree the University can fire the coach and should. You have on your signature Impeach Muller, so I was curious how that is possible? The AD should always have a higher standard for success, it his job. We are just fans. We can turn off the game at any point with zero consequence if the program continues to lose he will not be able to use ISU as a stepping stone but it will become the end of his career.

I can’t tell if you were joking or not. I like to think you met with AD; and that he is the kind of guy truly interested in feedback from alum.

Hang on. Did he neglect to meet with you, or did the timing not work out? There's a difference. You said he proposed a time but that didn't work out. I'm assuming that time didn't work for you? Did you respond and propose a different time? Did you just say that time didn't work for you and expected him to find another time?

Did he "promise" that he would meet with you? Or did he state he "wanted" to meet with you as you mentioned in your original post? Again, there's a difference between a desire to meet and a commitment to do so.

Clarity would help here, as we already have a poster questioning our AD's integrity based solely on your comments that Brennan "neglected" to meet with you and that he had "promised" to meet with you.

We responded with times and days that work for us on a typical week. His first proposal was April 8th so there was a full month he could've made time for us.

Can understand some posters not financially supporting the basketball program by not buying season tickets. However, if your are also not gifting the department then all the other programs suffer as well in addition to lost basketball revenue. Kind of a self-inflicted wound to bring all the other sports down to prove a point. The new AD knows that basketball and football success contributes to his success and if he is ever going to be P6 material.

The only ISU sport I care about is men's basketball so that's exactly the point I would like to prove. Just to see the birds advance in March Madness is all I ask for. Many other students feel the same way.
