Through 5 games we've completed 84 passes.

61 of those are to the starting 3 WRs and the starting TE.

19 are to RBs (Robinson, Burch, Smith, Hatfield, Adams).

Only 4 are to the second string WRs and TE.

Not a good sign .. thin at WR na dgetting thinner. Edgar and Haley got off to nice start, but haven't heard as much recently. Are people figuring them out after initially looking like good complimentary contributors to Schnell ? Chicken or egg theory in play with entire pass game the last 2 games ? SIU defense should give us a chance to work on some things. But all of this churn in our weakest position group is not a good sign.

I don't want to wear them out but I'd like to see Robinson and Smith on the field together more often and that includes passing situations. If I was an opposing D-coord that would make me very nervous. You would have 3 players (Robinson, Smith, and Schnell) and all of them would be capable of taking a short pass, making a defender miss, and then going all the way for a TD.

I like this idea ... and it would mean more open field opportunities which means less pounding even if more running. Both can make people miss many ways. And I love their chances against any DB types trying to bring them down .. in fact, they demoralize most DBs.

Plus they make great decoys that have to be shadowed EVERY down.
