Jaden Smith, Kenwood
The light is flickering a little brighter these days for a highly-regarded prospect where the development has come at a slower pace. But he’s stringing together better performances, and the latest offer from Georgia Tech following his July performance shows the progress the 6-11 Smith has made. Smith is now back to flirting with top 10 status in state player rankings.
Maybe not out of high schoolWould be nice but no way we get this guy
Jaden Smith, Kenwood
The enticing big man has a wide range of schools involved with more potentially coming this fall, including several high-major programs that remain in contact. Xavier, Utah and LSU have all poked around.
But Smith has a busy schedule ahead with several official visits, beginning this weekend with a trip to Loyola. The Ramblers recently offered Smith and look to land their second big man out of the city in as many years with Simeon’s Miles Rubin now a freshman for coach Drew Valentine.
Smith then will visit Akron, Georgia Tech and Arizona State in the coming weeks.
Think they were waiting on Riddle just in case, but now have moved on to other options.I don't think we are going to be signing any more class of 2024s with Smith and Riddle now off the board. Unless we decide to take one later in the spring.
We have an open spot ... maybe he heardMy guess is DePaul
And then saw the NIL offer . . .We have an open spot ... maybe he heard
Did not expect this. Would be thrilled to get him but I don't anticipate us being a player. Agreed that he is probably headed to DePaul. My guess is DePaul
