Great event! Many good things about our ‘Bird women. Bradley transfer is small but mighty; terrific 3-point shot, fearless going to the rim, and pesky defense. Wilson made paint play look easy. Wong, Bullman solid leaders. Some promising freshmen, all got playing time. Fun season ahead.

I wondered when Wong joined ISU early if that would be a good move or not - skipping her HS season. Whether or not it was, she is a tremendous player. Someone who could easily be a coach if she wants to.

Wilson is an amazing PF for us. She could have a real special year. It looks like we now have a good mix of post players that will allow her to focus more on scoring and not always guarding the other team’s center.

Bullman is able to add so much in many facets. Post play - yes. Handle the ball - yes. Pop a 3 - yes. And most importantly, guard any player 1-5.

Aalsma is so fundamentally sound. She seems to be growing. It will be great to see her and Waite in the 2-guard spot.

I was real impressed by Coffey and Lenz. The future is bright seeing players like them.
