With the understanding the only P5 teams will be allowed in the FBS playoffs from this point forward, here are some options that should be considered for Bowl money and Network contracts. More money, better facilities and program growth.

C-USA With the exception of FAU, that is rumored to be moving to the AAC after next season. Are all winnable games VS the rest of the teams, NC Charlotte, MIDD Tenn, Old Dominion, WKU, FAU, Marshall, N.Texas, So. Miss, LA Tech, UAB, UTSA, Rice and UTEP.

Independents - Army, UMASS, NM STATE, Liberty, ND, BYU

MAC - Could beat any team on any given Saturday or Thursday....if joined, most likely would be in the West, ISU, BALL ST., NIU, Toledo (would move to the East) CMU,EMU and WMU.

MVFC move to FBS as a conference with ISU, NDSU, SDSU, SDU, UNI, YSU, MSU and would bring in WKY or Liberty or NIU,. No guarantee that WIU or SIU will still have a FB program in a couple years of fall back to D II. INSU I don't think would be interested in the jump.

Don’t like the Geography of C-USA. Don’t like the idea of All-Sports membership in the MAC.

MVFC/MVC/Summit would need to become an All-Sports Conference and I think In doing so...not crazy about all the Dakotas even though they have money. SIU/WIU/Mo State/UNI all have had some sort of budget or financial issues. Don’t want to bring Indy State or Youngstown with us, not sure they would come anyway.

That leaves Independent. Schedule H/H with at least 3-4 of the Independents:

Army (H), UMass (A), NM State (H), Liberty (A) - 4 games

1-AA game with (EIU/WIU/SIU) for rivalry purposes - 5th game - Home Only.

One game annually with UIUC or NW.. - 6th game. - Neutral Site (Toyota Stadium, Wrigley, Comiskey)

Regional Big 10/Big 12 games - example: Iowa, Minn., Iowa State, Kansas (7th and 8th) - Likely Away

Regional MAC opponent - NIU, Ball State, CMU, EMU (9th game) - H/A

Buy game - ACC/SEC opponent (10th game) - Away

C-USA/Sun-Belt/ AAC opponent (11th game) - H/A

We would need to upgrade Hancock to version 3.0. But since the NCAA requires your MBB and Men’s Football to be in the same conference. This allows ISU to keep basketball in the MVC or explore a move to A-10 for hoops only. Football gets an upgrade and pay days, Basketball gets to stand pat or move to a diff conference.

MVC Hoops needs to expand and bring in FBS teams like Tulsa, Arkansas State, WKU, NIU and Ball State (and if ever possible Memphis)
You have ISU, N Iowa, Missouri State, SIU to join them

YSU can head to MAC

WIU and Indy State can go to Pioneer with Drake, Valpo, Dayton, etc.

NDState, SD State, S Dakota should parlay with UC Davis, Montana, Idaho and some others to have their own FBS conference.
