Not that we'll ever know, but I wonder at what point Aaron Rossi agreed to give the $3 million. Did he really have to be wined and dined or was he going to anyway?

And no actual AD for at least 7 months is very long. I do understand waiting for the audit to be over, but in the mean time they must have people they want to start interviewing to get the process started once the audit results are in.

We have an Interim President and an Interim AD. It's a less than ideal situation that will take time to play out.
You don't really want to hire a key administration position like the AD, and then change Presidents. What if the new President and AD clash? Then you're back to looking for a new AD. So we have to see if President Tarhule gets the interim taken off his title. My prediction is that he will get the job. Once President Tarhule is established then we can line up an AD. The President won't lead the search, but he should interview the final candidates and I wouldn't hire anyone he opposes. Just today I was given reason to believe that AD Beggs and President Tarhule have a good working relationship. Dr. Beggs had previously said that she is not interested in the AD job full-time, but now she may make a decision in Jan/Feb if she wants to continue. If so, she becomes a candidate with some momentum with established relationships.

You're right. Do we have a timeline for assigning our President?

Audit probably is a necessary step, but I wonder how much it will cost. 🤔

Why not allow the Department of Accounting to perform the audit? There are numerous Accounting Majors who just completed their internships with audit firms? See if any of the Professors really Know what they teach in terms of Audit. Or there are plenty of retired ISU Accountants around.

They probably want/need an outside unbiased audit. I also wouldn't necessarily count on a recent grad to be thorough or not make mistakes.

This is an audit. Not an internship.
