MOST exploring IPF options.
https://www.news-leader.com/story/s...nts-build-indoor-football-facility/854098002/

Posters on their forum think they're further along in the process than the News Leader article implies, but that article is over a year old now. I know a couple MOST parents that have both said Hammonds promised checks that he's not writing nowadays due to financial duress. Sugar daddies that don't follow through...

EDIT: Sounds like they're now focused on a bubble...

It's weather like we're having now that exposes the need, right?

This !!!!

In season .. yes, especially if you plan to make playoff runs into Dec and possibly Jan

And then the entire offseason until spring ball starts. And then even during warmer seasons with thunderstorms & lightening.

It helps player preparations signifcantly year round. It also helps with recruiting kids, especially kids from warmer weather states who have options. I would assume he can be a tie breaker for any promising prospect who has options ... you know, the better players.

My main takeaway is that MOST - even under the financial stress caused by JQH not making his naming rights payments on his namesake arena - is still managing to work the IPF issue. And one thing that I've seen motivate ISU folks is perception that their not keeping up with the Jones.

Second takeaway is that MOST did the math and came up with the same bottom line answer as Timmy is suggesting. Dome today is better that hard-walled structure 10 yrs from now.

agree on bubble, if building is more than 5 years away .. we're getting further behind, slowly but surely ... clock is ticking.

I just recently went in to change my monthly donation distributions and just saw that they have a specific area where you can donate toward an IPF, I had no idea that was there.
Maybe many of you who are interested seeing this happen could also chip in a bit?
