Illinois State coach Dan Muller, like many others, scouring the transfer portal for players

Illinois State basketball coach Dan Muller and his staff are continuously looking and studying the transfer portal to replenish the roster for next season.

ISU players in the portal who have committed elsewhere include Keith Fisher Jr. (UTEP), who opted out this past season; Abdou Ndiaye (Cal State-Fullerton); and Dedric Boyd (Tennessee State). Sy Chatman's name is still in the portal, although Muller said the 6-foot-8 forward could return.

Any coach who might have to replace a big chunk of their roster at a relatively late date had better be checking the portal every day to try and help fill the void.

The portal reminds me of the ads for the original Big Lots stores ~ "new stock arriving daily, we have no idea what's coming in next!"

Why would Chatman coming back even be considered? He left UMASS on bad terms. Came here and didn’t want to work. Then quit. Barring a major attitude change I want him nowhere near my team.
