I define the "it" factor in sports as one's ability to execute and make plays at critical moments.

Davis has it.

Count me in the camp of not wanting to see Davis run more. I like him having strong fresh legs to drive the ball downfield with his arm. Use the legs to buy time and avoid sacks. Of course.

We are blessed with 3 excellent RB’s. Let them run.

IMO the plays in the running game that worked best were power both under center with 46 at fullback and out of the gun with Split backs. I watched the game again (gotta love retirement) and they ran very few true reads if any. They pulled the H back across the formation a few times and kicked out the strongside end but that was a called give. I'm not sure the few "read options" were not actually all called gives. It does make the weakside end hold his water and sets up play action.
I am very surprised how good we look with Davis under center. I was really not expecting that. I would keep doing what they are doing. Keep your QB upright. We're a dang good pro-style offense right now. Gotta work on option routes. Keep it up fellers.
46–Tim McCloyn
Converted LB. I think he’s playing his role very well. He’s been physical at the POA.

Glad you mentioned him.

One reason Bradly Davis is the starting QB. On the play that went to the CSU 2 yd line, Davis avoided the sack, rolled and waited for the safety to bite. Yes, Bradly needs to learn to have a better drop touch but that will happen in a couple more games.

Agree. As I've watched our games this year, I'm thinking he's sort of an unsung "hero". We talk about the RB's and the OL and the QB and how the running game seems to be going, etc. and here's #46 in the middle of it all, blocking for JRob and Smith and pass blocking, and he never really gets any glory. Gets plenty of PT so must be doing his job. Appeared on the Next Step a time or two and seemed like a nice young man!
