no need to go back to 6'0 275 starting ol players. remember when a one star players was a big thing, or was someone that was a backup to a guy that went to ball st. was the best ISU could do recruiting wise. Now the mbb is recruiting those players due to the DM dumpster fire. Go you damn Birds AND WIN THIS GAME!!

One game only but I like the ISU decal. I would not want to get rid of Reggie but this is a nice change of pace and recruits in this era like multiple uniforms, etc. Truly ISU's uniform ensemble is pretty boring. All red at home and all white on the road. Not much of a change but a nice addition nonetheless. When Bill Parcells was the Patriots coach and they went to the current version of the uniform he was asked by a reporter what he thought of the new uniforms. His reply, paraphrased, was to the effect he thought all uniforms looked pretty good when good players were wearing them. Can't argue with Bill, who would, but today it is a recruiting thing. Even Notre Dame does the one-game Shamrock Series special uniform.

I am looking forward to watching some Redbird football. It has been a long time and I don't really count that spring season. I don't expect Butler to give the Birds too much trouble but I am interested to see the team on the field and get a look at the new players. I expect a more staunch test will come at Western Michigan. It will be interesting to watch the WMU v U of M game. earlier Saturday. It has been a long time since the 2019 season ended in Fargo. Go Redbirds, win this game!

The odds makers probably couldn't name a single Illinois State or Butler player. They just looked at the score from the last time we played them in 2017. Illinois State 45 Butler 0

I don't know that I've ever expressed my INTENSE dislike for espn3/espn+/disney/etc here. Watched the SIU-SEMO game. Can't login to watch the 'birds. WTF. WTF. WTF.

Yeah . . . well . . . the game isn't showing even if you can sign in. Still says the event is about to begin even tho we're 8+ minutes into the game.
