I got a chance to watch some of this mornings practice. Davis is goooooood. Kolbe appeared to still be running with the 1's. Davis had a Roberson-like read option where he put the ball in Smith's stomach, Smith took a few steps and David pulled it out and went the other way. Also had a dime to a TE in the back of the endzone. Kolbe's best play that I saw he ran a QB draw and picked up 8ish yards.

#38 was the best kicker today from what I saw.

It makes you wonder how good Davis will be once he gets completely comfortable in the offense. Are most of the practices open to the public? I might walk over there sometime.

I don't know if they are officially "open" to the public. I just so happened to be walking by and watched next to the construction area. I'm guessing they wouldn't be too thrilled if people started coming and sitting in the stadium seats or Horton side to watch. They way I see it, if you stay outside of the fence, you're good.

#38 is Trevor Bond out of Indiana. I thought we'd been hearing more about the Fenlason kid (#36) from California.

The August training camp practices (and spring practices) aren't officially open to the public but they don't mind if you come inside to watch. On a Saturday morning you'll find a couple dozen fans (mostly player parents) or more.
That changes after the public scrimmage on Saturday. When camp ends they'll go into game specific preparation. I've never attempted to view those practices and I don't think it's allowed.
