I've watched almost every Bison game the last four years. Coach Richman is a terrible coach, as far as winning games and also getting the most out of his players. There is a reason Boden was only senior left standing. Half the team leaves after every season now with the portal.
For whatever reason he can recruit excellent talent but not put it together. There is no reason they shouldn't win the Summit league every year with the raw talent they get.
Boden is a perfect example. NDSU has no offense. Dribble around and iso until shot clock is running out and take a bad shot. Richman would put him in the corner and watch people dribble. It says a lot he was able to average 14-15 ppg in the situation he was in.
If he did get on a hot streak Richman would sit him. It was so bizarre. Richman wants to win his way and only his way. He would rather lose the "right" way then win games. Last season they won a big league game by a buzzer beater from Boden. Richman was just pissed after the game. Chewing all the players out cause they missed a box out.
Boden is extremely good and much better than he's been able to show the last 4 years. This is a huge pick up for the Redbirds.
