I'm curious to know what board members are making the trip to Madison. I'll be there. Also if you are making the trip up but do not plan to go the game that would be interesting to know too. It's ok we don't judge.

Also can we get a Loyalty Oath from Madbird and Cheesehead for this game. Those screen names make me nervous and I think Madbird has confessed to having Badger basketball tickets. Again, we're not here to judge but if you could post a TikTok video showing you relieving yourself on the motion W it would be appreciated and it remove all doubt about where your loyalty lies.

I’m in along with 50 more on a coach bus. I only allowed Redbird fans on my bus!
50! I'm impressed and you're good to go. Now I'm still concerned about Madbird. He's going to protest that I should know him by now and that he's been a Redbird longer than I have. Sure, we've met, but you know how it is. You THINK you know a guy but do you really? How do we know you're not a double agent sucking up to fans on a Badger message board? We still need to see a video of Madbird using Bucky Badger as a pinata.

Well, it's far more complicated than you know, and my answer may not be satisfactory, but here goes . . .

First, great sacrifice was involved - I think you can imagine the difficult choice I faced. Sept. 3 is also the season opener for DIII St. John's, and they are hosting the perennial DIII powerhouse Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks! With St. Thomas off the schedule now, this is arguably the biggest game of the year, at least the regular season. It is Labor Day weekend, traditionally the final "bash" at the cabin for the summer. We have missed Labor Day at the cabin only a couple times in the last 30+ years. I will have to explain to Greg, my neighbor in the SJU stands, how in the world I missed that game, and he will be skeptical too, so what can I do?

BUT - I'll be at Camp Randall with the Mrs., wearing Redbird red, the same Redbird red I wore last year at both men's and women's basketball games at Kohl Center. I did, however, accept tickets from my football season ticket holding UW basketball seatmate! I hope this is okay with the Redbird crowd. Chances are some unruly Badger thug will dump a beer or Diet Coke on my head for invading their seating area wearing the enemy uniform. But I could not miss the chance for an upset of the always proud and cocky Badgers.

So, a mea culpa for sitting in the "Badger section", but I will not forsake the Redbird faithful!

I salute your courage to sit deep in enemy territory with your Redbird gear on although if you remain quiet you could go undetected. Back in '97 I went to an Illinois State/Wisconsin basketball game in the old field house. I had my Redbird hoodie on but due to the matching colors I went unnoticed until I objected to a call against the Redbirds. I got some dirty looks at that point, but no beer was tossed.

Anyway, sorry for testing your loyalty, On to Wisconsin and Bash the Badger.

Well, Badger basketball faithful were pretty humble in the last century. Wasn't until 2000 Dick Bennett got them to the Final Four.

For those spending time in Madison during the FB weekend, it is also the Taste of Madison around the Capitol Square. Good food, beverages and entertainment. Both Saturday and Sunday.

I’ll be there with the wife and a buddy. Haven’t pulled the trigger yet but planning on grabbing some seats on StubHub/vivid seats in Section W which will be right next to the ISU section and band/cheerleaders in section X (per a post from a Wiscy guy on a previous thread).

I'll be there with my Badger alum fiance. I will be drinking with many UW alumni I am sure.

Dr. Normalbird and I plan to arrive Friday and stay 2 nights at the Buckingham Inn, a B&B 2 blks from Camp Randall. We’re dining at the Tornado Room Friday, and we will surely make a trip or 2 to the Dairy Store on Campus for terrific homemade ice cream and cheeses. Also a trip to the nearby Mustard Museum. It will not be as hot as the day we played at Iowa City.

I'll be there Thursday through Monday. I highly recommend stopping by the student union even if you aren't doing the ISU tailgate. We bought tickets through ISU so we'll be wherever they put us.

Are people planning on attending the "official" ISU tailgate event, or winging it at local establishments?
Official although earlier in the day I may seek out a local establishment. I have no desire to socialize with the Wisconsin natives and learn their ways. I'll be looking for a place to watch the South Dakota St.- Iowa game.
