Really, they just stopped by for a bite? The expenses were submitted as reimbursements after the trip so, no, they were not approved in advance that is false. The AD's expenses are signed off on by the president and the foundation processes them. Athletics does have their own separate audit done each year (they are external auditors, not internal - Streigel does that audit I believe). I don't know that at the time Rossi's legal 'issues' were fully known but the pledge was brought to the attention of management last year about being written off and wasn't so that is really the story now. Could have been avoided. That pledge is the loose end that brought all of this other stuff out.

It's being reported by the ISU NPR station. I'd say it's pretty solid. Anything reported by news outlets is fair game.

How do you approve of an Uber beforehand, especially one from a strip club’s address . . . ? Considering that kind of expense would to go thru the Foundation management, I’m finding it extremely difficult to believe anything you’re saying. approved by whom? I know for a fact that the foundation office doesn't approve the AD's expenses. That is done by the supervisor, which in this case would be the president's office

What if you’re just like me? The article has some truths. The relationship with Rossi is sketchy at best since the indictment. Do I think we know all? No. Do I think everything with this individual was on the up and up? Probably not. Am I saying Brennan or Marty are 100% guilt of wrongdoing? No.

This just seems like a black eye for ISU and that there is more to the story.

I don't particularly like Ryan but he did a pretty good of reporting here. I don't think he left anything out I just think he doesn't have all the facts. The strip club thing is a very bad look and no that would not have 'approved' of by anyone at the foundation or in the president's office. The main issue here is that the pledge remained around long enough to unravel all of these other things. That's the question Ryan should be asking - why did that happen? Had it been removed as soon as Rossi's problems came to light probably none of these other things come out.

I would assume that they found somewhere in the area to sit until things died down. They are at a Big Ten Game and there are Bars and food spots all right there in that area

They were only being gracious because it was so crowded there weren’t enough seats so they let some ladies kindly sit on their laps. Gentlemen, I say, and should be promoted. It was obvious!
