Nothing like going down to the wire against a team that was ranked 330 in NET last year. We can't foul or turn over the ball so much.

It will be very interesting to see how both first year coaches make tweaks before we play again on Thursday.

I would like to see more Burford drive and kick out to our shooters.

Not saying they’ll be great, but there are exactly three players on Northwestern State’s roster from last year’s team, so I don’t see the point of your post. It’s clearly a different team.

1. Road win. 2. Amazing after all the traveling problems the last two days. 3. Kendall is playing possessed. 4. Much better on turnovers the second half…only 5. 6. We can shoot free throws.

I will take it

I predict Lewis MVC player of the week. 40 rebounds in 3 games.

Our shooting and FTs were good. We allowed way too many offensive boards and TOs were big issue the first half

2 - 0 on the road
Actually Lewis has 41 rebounds. He slacked off today and only had 13 rebounds.

Love what both Pedon and Burford had to say postgame. Positive, realistic and optimistic. Had a glass full take on the travel woes, and Pedon took the time to thank by name all the staff folks that helped them. They got to the hotel at 4 this afternoon…or thereabouts. Made no excuses, just took care of business. A lot of great attitude displayed.

Any road is decent, I agree last years team when healthy would have won both of these. But better to learn while getting a win. Gotta rebound better, need Burford to play like the 2nd half. Unfortunately we aren’t getting much inside scoring this year. Other issues are somewhat correctable

Too bad we didn't play at Eastern and Northwestern State last year, if the concern was the amount of wins that is.
Was losing at Eastern Michigan a good loss? Or beating Chicago State a better win than Eastern or Northwestern State? Other than Wisconsin, last years team wasn’t any more challenged as far as non conference true road games.

You can easily look at multiple preceding years to see they most likely wont have a good season regardless of returning players.

Everybody is seeing the same thing here. Burford must play the PG and be on the floor. Kasubke too needs to be on the floor but not running the offense; but give the young man credit he's the next best we got when Burford gets scolded for Tech's.

Lewis desperately needs help. Joe and Liam are European style and try as they might don't mix it up too well underneath.

I am very grateful for 2 road wins thus far. Anyone who feels past years team would have won these last 2 on the road only need a reminder of our visits to Evansville and Terra Haute last winter. Our boys try hard and seem a bit like grinders though are Handles really need some toughening up - jeez we are weak on the dribble when attempting to run an offensive set.

I liked the foul when Knight missed the 2 important ft's at end - with 3 point lead we sent them to the line. Personally, thought that was good coaching.
