I have always had the position that the 4/5 game is much, much better than the 3/7 game. Which means getting the 4 or even 5 seed is better than the 3 seed IMHO. That late, late game is bad as it doesn't start until after 9pm, and the winner has to come back and play earlier the next day.

A few years ago, somebody looked at it, and the 4/5 winner was considerably more likely to get to the championship game than the 3/7 winner.

I typically like the 3/6 game as a fan, but as a team the 4/5 is probably the best for time, but then you gotta play the 1 seed.

Sorry I referred to the late game as 3/7 seed. Shoulda been 3/6. Often, though, there is little difference between the 1 and 2 seed. To win it, you gotta play them some place along the line anyway. As a fan, the 4/5 game time is much, much better. That may be just me, though. I hate waiting all day and night for our game. I think it's tough on the players and coaches as well. One former head coach told me it was a tough game time.

I consider myself a hoops junkie, I'm fine with watching all the games leading into our game. However, since I became of-age I have started to like the earlier games.

I like watching all the games, Adunk. Maybe like you, a little less nowadays. I just hate the anticipation of going all day before seeing OUR time play. And I think this is even harder on the team.

HUGE :text-+1:

Winning it all from the 3 vs 6 time slot is a difficult proposition.

The only good thing is with the new TV structure the semifinal games are pushed back. The second semifinal starts an hour later than it used to. Giving that late night game a little more rest going into Saturday.

Not smart enough to imbed this graphic into a post. Link below the the most recent Arch Madness seeding probabilities from Hacksaw at mvcfans.com

ISU and BU in the 4/5 is most likely in both weighted and unweighted scenarios. I’ll take it!

Winner of that would play the winner of Loyola and Evansville/UNI in the early game Saturday
