Better book early for Arch Madness. This is going to make it a mess that weekend.

Hotwire still has a deal at $86/night. Its the City Place, formally the Crowne. I know of 10 Birds fans that have rooms there if anyone wants to make it the "unofficial team hotel."

Have you ever stayed there?

Yeah. Basic hotel. Nothing flashy. Good location near the arch, walk-able to BPV and the building formally known as ScottTrade Center. Rooftop pool. Much better location than the Soulard Air BnB we stayed in last year. 30-45 min walk to everything.

City place is decent. No bed bugs or roaches. Rooms and halls a bit worn down but supposed to be updated. I've stayed there numerous times but not in several years. I'd stay there agian though. I would say I recommend it bit I didn't know how worn down it is at this point.

Meh. To stay downtown for 86 bucks and only going to be there to sleep, seems worth it to me. But if you need that luxury style living, I'm sure you can get team hotel for just shy of $200 per night. My pocket book isn't that deep.

The Marriott is cheaper right now than City Place.

EDIT: I forgot you booked through Hotwire. Did you check out the Holiday Inn? What was their price on there? I knew it we pretty close to City Place's pricing. They are both on there I believe...always hard to tell.

We stayed there the last two years. It's been the Missouri State hotel, so I hope that stays the same. It tends to clear out by Saturday afternoon if you know what I mean. We usually stay there and get a suite. Pretty reasonably priced, but no free breakfast. Right across the street from the arena too.

AirBnB is the way to go

We did that last year and really liked it. With our group continuing to grow, we're up to 4 couples, the women are a little particular about the bathroom/mirror situation. Any air bnbs we found that were 4 rooms typically had 2 bathrooms and we're going to be in the 140ish range per night per couple. We try to do housing cheap so we can spend elsewhere. Plus, we spend so little time on the hotel, can't possibly justify putting up the 200/night or whatever.

Thanks for the heads up. I booked the Marriott Grand for $125 including fees. Last year that would have been a bad deal, but this year I think the prices will just go higher as it gets closer.

Update: I canceled the Marriott (booking direct you get 1 day to cancel for free), and booked the City Center on Hotwire for $111 including fees. Better location.

AirBnB is definitely the way to go.

https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/19407961?adults=2&check_in=2019-03-07&check_out=2019-03-11&s=OEMj-qV&guests=2
After all fees the FINAL price is $344 for 4 nights for a whole place to yourself. I've stayed at these guys places several times and I am staying at another property of theirs in downtown over the MVC weekend. They have numerous properties in downtown. I think they're in real estate.

$350 for 4 nights for a whole place.

All of them under $100 per night. I just selected two people. If you have a party that wants to stay together you'll have to change the sections of number of people and price.

You are definitely right about Air Bnb being the cheapest route. Finding one for 8 people, and enough bathrooms to accommodate four women for a reasonable price is the challenge.
