In the "wild speculation" department, I'll toss out the name of ISU alum Billy Garrett, now the Director of Basketball Operations at DePaul. He has nearly 20 years exp. as a DI assistant, as well as several years of HC experience at the HS level.

I'm not sure why he got "demoted" to DBO from DePaul assistant, other than maybe his son graduated. I have no idea if he has any interest in becoming an assistant again, or coming back to ISU. But he surely has some connections to the Chicago area and AAU and HS hoops up that way and he'd be well qualified for the job.
